Patient and helpful. My teammates are very talented and willing to provide advice all the time. I really appreciate their help.
Do you feel like you're having an impact directly on the clients that you work for?
Yes. Each case is unique and vital for clients and our analysis may affect their business development and strategy. Our analysis and response provide the information they need to decide the future of their business.
What were the initial difficulties of adjusting to life in Osaka?
Traffic systems. There are many different systems in Japan and it is easy to get lost at the beginning. The crowed morning train was also a culture shock for me.
What are the challenging or difficult aspects of your work?
Deadlines. Sometimes many tasks arrive on the same day. It is necessary to identify the key elements that you are looking for efficiency and prioritization.
I am looking forward to experience
the Setouchi Triennale contemporary art festival in 2016.
What is the most important thing that working at SY has taught you about yourself?
Communication. Many people would be involved in the same case before the final work product can be sent. Thus, it is necessary to express the message accurately and efficiently.
What have been your three fondest leisure experiences in Japan?
1. One-day traditional archery experience.
2. Visiting a beer factory.
3. Hand-roasting coffee beans at the coffee museum.
What advice would you give to entry level recruits?
Stay strong. Be calm during the stressful periods. Lastly, enjoy the challenges.
