Do you feel like you're having an impact directly on the clients that you work for?

Yes, I feel as a paralegal I have a direct impact on the clients, as I am the last one to check letters and ensure details and information is correct. Even noticing the smallest detail can have an impact on the clients.

Being a part of a global team has been an invaluable experience. Since we all come from different backgrounds, I have learned so much from the people around me and it has given me a new perspective on the world.

What are the challenging or difficult aspects of your work?

Balancing time management and attention to detail. We must meet crucial deadlines all while making sure even the smallest detail is correct. It is a skill I have had to learn and continue to hone.

I have a scrapbook in which I compiled pictures and mementos for all the places I’ve visited and memories I’ve made in Japan. I really treasure being able to look back at my life here so far and continue to add memories to it.

What advice would you give a potential new colleague?

Perseverance is key. You must push yourself, but every day gets a little easier. Eventually you will be able to look back and be proud of how far you have come.
