How was Japan in reality to what you had imagined before you arrived?
Before I arrived in Japan, I knew Japan is a very clean, advanced and beautiful city. And it’s the same as I expected. But it’s not that crowded as I thought and it’s quite convenient for living.
How would you describe co-workers?
They are very hard-working, smart and friendly. I can always learn something when I work with them. They are patient and helpful as well. They always provide me with good advices which are valuable for my life.
When I am not at work, I
travel around Japan and hand out with my friends.

Do you feel like you're having an impact directly on the clients that you work for?
Yes. As an accounting assistant, I need to follow clients’ billing instructions, provide them with their budgets or accruals so that clients are able to manage their accounts more efficiently.
What were the initial difficulties of adjusting to life in Japan?
Language was the most difficult part for me. It’s quite difficult to communicate with others in local markets or restaurants if you don’t know any Japanese. Besides that trash sorting is another challenge for me.
What are the challenging aspects of your work?
Improving work efficiency. Since we have a lot of work to do every day, how to solve it efficiently and accurately is a challenge of my work; Work priority and time management. How to prioritize my work is challenging as well.
What have been your 3 fondest leisure experiences in Japan thus far?
Picnicking under the Sakura; visiting Hiroshima with my friends and vising Kyoto temples.

My watch, since I bought it when I got my first salary!
