How would you describe co-workers?

They are really intelligent, hard-working and enthusiastic.

How was Japan in reality to what you had imagined before you arrived?

English is not as universal as I expected, especially in the local stores.

What were the initial difficulties of adjusting to life in Osaka?

The initial difficulties is definitely the language barrier. I have learned Japanese by myself for about two months before I came to Japan, it is still not easy to even order a meal at the beginning. The complicated transportation system is also a challenge. Thanks to google maps it is not so bad.

When I am not at work, I am

traveling around the Kansai area or exploring the creative and new stuff sold in the supermarkets.

Do you feel like you're having an impact directly on the clients that you work for?

Yes. It is really encouraging when I receive a letter from a client saying that our analysis is very helpful since they encounter similar problem in other countries and our strategy provide a new insight to solve the problem.

What are the challenging or difficult aspects of your work?

The fast paced and multi task nature of the work are the challenging aspects of my work.

What have been your three fondest leisure experiences in Japan?

Viewing Cherry blossom, enjoying Onsen in Nakayama, and visiting the Carpentry Tool Museum.

What advice would you give a potential new colleague?

Learn from everyone and every case. Think more and do not hesitate to ask questions.
