Mr. Takeshi OSHIO’s practice in the Firm is concentrated in business models, computer software & hardware, communications, semiconductor devices and patent litigation. He joined the Firm as a patent practitioner in 1992. Before joining the Firm as an Associate, he was a Software engineer at a Japanese company that engages in software products and digital systems.
One of his works included a complex intellectual property transaction advice involving hundreds of cases with an American technology and media company, wherein the Client obtained a set of patents including an expired patent and inquired as to whether the Client could retro-actively enforce any of its rights against potential infringers. The said Client also entrusted the Firm with numerous complex multi-step assignments of patent rights, all of which the Firm successfully completed in recording with the Japanese Patent Office.
He is registered to practice before the Japanese Patent Office and appear as Patent Counsel before the Japanese Courts since 1995.
