Since joining the firm as an associate in 2012, with over a decade of experience to date, Mr. Ryouji MIKATA has handled a variety of trademark and design infringement and disputes before the Japanese Patent Office, providing strategic, comprehensive and exhaustive analysis of the clients’ trademark and design portfolios and ensuring the best course of action for the benefit of the clients. Mr. Mikata also has expertise in unfair competition, anti-counterfeiting, customs and criminal IP enforcement and civil law.
Prior to being a part of the firm, Mr. Mikata studied Architectural Engineering at Osaka University in 2002. He has experience on working for a judicial scrivener firm in Japan and is registered to practice before the Japanese Patent Office and appear as Patent Counsel before the Japanese Courts, admitted, 2011.
