Lani Victoria VINAS is the Legal Director of SHUSAKU·YAMAMOTO Law Firm, where she manages a team of more than 100 legal professionals, associates and technology specialists.
From February 2023 to September 2024, she joined the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative headquartered in Manila as a Data Privacy Expert serving as the institution’s legal consultant and specialist.
She serves as Co-President of the Women in Law Japan Ippan Shadan Hojin, a voluntary association of legal professionals having over 600 supporters. WILJ ISH aims to raise the representation of women in leadership roles in the legal profession in Japan. She is also currently an adjunct professor at Hitotsubashi University, Global Business Law Program teaching Intellectual Property Commercialization, as well as a senior lecturer at the University of the Philippines, College of Law for Torts and Damages.
She regularly publishes in and contributes to well-known legal journals, including Lexology, World Trademark Review, Practical Law and Horitsu Jiho. She has spoken at numerous international conferences and has been invited to speak in countries including Japan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Cambodia, Australia, USA and Canada.
Alongside the above, Lani also serves as a Co-head of the IP Committee of the Philippine Bar Association
