Junko ASAI was born in Kanagawa, Japan. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law (LL.M.) (2020) and a Juris Doctor from Keio University (2007). Before joining the Firm, she worked as a practicing lawyer with expertise in litigation, arbitration, and negotiation in Tokyo (2007-2024). She also worked as a researcher at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, engaging in multilateral and bilateral negotiations (2022-2023). She is registered to practice before the Supreme Court of Japan, admitted in 2007.
