Mr. Hayato TAKAHASHI works with local and foreign life sciences clients to develop efficient strategies to ensure successful patent portfolio management, prosecution, opposition and invalidation. His vast experience with patent prosecution and litigation allows him to handle a diverse range of patent portfolios, and his areas of work include but are not limited to biotechnology, microbiology, molecular biology and plant physiology.

Born in Yamanashi, Mr. Takahashi completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees both in Plant Physiology from Kanagawa University in 2004 and University of Tsukuba in 2006, respectively. Prior to joining the Firm in 2019, he worked for a Tokyo-based Japanese Intellectual Property law firm.

Mr. Takahashi is a native Japanese speaker and is proficient in the English language. He is currently based in the Tokyo branch. Mr. Takahashi was permitted to practice before the Japanese Patent Office in 2014 and was certified to practice Intellectual Property litigation in Japan in 2016.
