SY’s Patent Client Wins 2019 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine

Prof. William G. Kaelin Jr. was one of three winners of the 2019 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for research on how cells sense & adapt to oxygen availability.

The Firm is honored and humbled that it was able to play a small part in helping Professor Kaelin, as an inventor, and the Dana Farber Institute obtain Japanese patents directed to this Nobel Prize winning discovery.

We offer our congratulations to Professor Kaelin and to Professors Ratcliffe and Semenza, who share the prize.
